On November 5, 2024, Jae-kwon Jung, Managing Attorney at Our Law Firm Hwaum, was appointed as a member of the Korea Research Foundation’s Sanctions Review Panel. He will serve as a panel member for a two-year term.
In cases involving misconduct in national research and development projects, including the improper use of research funds, sanctions may be imposed by the head of the relevant central administrative agency following a review by the Sanctions Review Panel in accordance with the National Research and Development Innovation Act.
As a member of the Sanctions Review Panel responsible for reviewing sanctions at the Korea Research Foundation, a specialized agency under the Minister of Science and ICT, Attorney Jae-kwon Jung will evaluate the necessity of sanctions, as well as the appropriate type and level of sanctions.
