The International Patent Information Expo, PATINEX 2021, brought together a wealth of intellectual property data and information on IP-related services.
First held in 2005, PATINEX had reached its 17th edition by 2021. Hwaum Law Office was pleased to participate in this internationally recognized event, engaging with the latest developments and trends in patent information and intellectual property services.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Patent Information Expo was held online from September 6 to September 10, 2021, over a five-day period.
Organized by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), PATINEX brings together intellectual property (IP) professionals from Korea and around the world. With a wide range of industry participants and diverse IP-related information and services, the event has continued to grow as an international forum for the global IP community.

The event featured a wide range of programs, including conferences (keynote speeches, case presentations, presentations by overseas organizations, and new product launches), exhibitions (IP information services, IP startups, IP law firms, and nonprofit organizations), and service experience events showcasing IP information services and the latest offerings from participating companies.
The program also featured a variety of case studies relating to IP, intellectual property, and artificial intelligence (AI), along with presentations from patent offices in countries such as the United States, Europe, and Japan. Attendees could also explore innovative new products and services emerging in response to the rapidly evolving digital era.
