From 2024 to 2025, Hwaum Law Office represented Samjong Accounting Corp. (KPMG) as legal counsel in connection with the alleged improper use of funds in a national R&D project. Hwaum Law Office provided legal representation throughout the objection process following the special evaluation and the proceedings before the Sanctions Evaluation Committee of the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP).
As a result, Hwaum Law Office demonstrated that the use of the funds complied with the applicable laws, regulations, and standards governing permitted purposes and requirements for use. Accordingly, the Sanctions Evaluation Committee concluded that there were no grounds for imposing sanctions.
